Saadia’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Driven by a deep curiosity about complex health issues, she went on to earn a Master’s in Cancer Immunology in the UK, followed by a Master’s in Public Health. She later settled in Canada, where her passion for teaching continues to thrive.
With over five years of experience as a University Lecturer and more than a decade of tutoring—including several years here in Canada—Saadia has transformed a once-casual interest into a meaningful commitment to student success. Her work has connected her with learners across the globe, from Bangladesh, Canada, the UK to the USA and China.
While education remains a core part of Saadia’s identity, so does her dedication to community well-being. Over the past year, she has contributed to population-level health and safety initiatives through her work at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).
Outside of work, Saadia enjoys creative pursuits such as interior design, experimenting with new crafts like knitting, and finding peace in playing the piano
Alexandra Salas is a Mexican educator and designer based in Vancouver, with a strong background in communication, culture, and creative teaching. Since 2022, she has been guiding students in learning Spanish through dynamic and interactive lessons that make the language come alive. Her teaching journey began with private tutoring for adult learners, including expat professionals—sparking a passion for education rooted in real-life connection and cultural depth.
Her approach blends language learning with cultural experiences: music, food, storytelling, and conversation all come together to create engaging, personalized sessions. Students often describe her classes as both fun and deeply enriching.
In addition to tutoring, Alexa brings years of experience in the creative industry, helping individuals and brands tell their stories visually and verbally. She also supports creatives and entrepreneurs in developing strong communication and branding skills.
Currently, she is developing a bilingual digital platform that celebrates Latin American culture through healthy recipes and cultural storytelling.
Outside the classroom, Alexa enjoys cooking traditional Mexican dishes, playing guitar, and playing tennis.
Ahmed J. Nahian is an experienced professional with a strong background in engineering, clean energy, and sustainability. Currently active in the energy industry, he brings over 10 years of combined academic and professional experience. He has taught university-level courses, supervised research projects, and contributed to real-world energy efficiency initiatives. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is skilled at communicating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Passionate about education, Nahian enjoys supporting students in math, science, and engineering-related subjects at high school and college levels.
In his free time, he loves riding bikes and pursuing his passion for photography.
Daud has a diverse academic background, with undergraduate roots in Pharmaceutical Sciences and culminating in a PhD in Bioengineering from the USA. His passion for molecular diagnostics and technology-driven solutions has shaped a career at the intersection of academia and industry.
With over five years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor and hands-on industry roles in both scientific and client-facing capacities, Daud has led projects in
microfluidics, biosensor development, and environmental toxin detection. Currently, as VP of Assay Development at Sensoreal Inc., he oversees the development of portable diagnostic tools that enhance food and environmental safety on a global scale.
Deeply committed to student mentorship and international collaboration, Daud is driven by a vision of science that delivers real-world impact. Outside of work, he enjoys sketching, exploring sci-fi and thriller fiction, and is actively working toward his goal of creating a graphic novel.
